Why are exhibitors frustrated?

Exhibit managing at trade shows has been described by many like doing business in a third world country. Rules for exhibitors and service providers change based on the city and the facility. Exhibitors are frequently surprised by unexpected costs, and their total bill is rising at a rapid pace. Often at trade shows, it’s not what you know, but who you know that can influence your experience as an exhibitor. And when things go awry, it’s difficult for exhibitors to know who to blame.

For service providers, there are similarly frustrating challenges. The trade show production business model inordinately shifts show production costs and inflates pricing to exhibitors. As a result, exhibit service providers are often put into a position of finding solutions to a problem that is not of their making.
